Last year, I had the chance to test the Cupra Ateca (and after that Ward had a taste of the facelift) and was wondering what car to compare it with. The Audi SQ2 and Mercedes-AMG GLA popped in mind, but they are a lot more expensive. And now? Volkswagen is bringing a rival to the stage. The Volkswagen Group VS The Volkswagen Group? I see the picture!

Some cars in the brand's line-up are very, very important for a brand to get right, even when they're not at the top of the line. They embody both a hefty part of the sales volume as they do form a big part of branding. The 2021 Audi Q5 is such a car, so the Ingolstadt-based brand has every reason to get it right.

The boys at Affalterbach aren’t picky when it comes to tackling a car. (Almost) everything with a Mercedes-star at the front is dipped in the typical AMG-sauce. Comparison? No not really, us getting the chance to test the facelift Mercedes-AMG E 63 S is just a damn good reason to put it next to the pre-facelift model.

As with any upcoming development, the rough edges disappear in later iterations. And so is the case with Mercedes’ latest plug-in hybrids. The second generation, if you like. The new CLA 250 e that we drove in the form of a Shooting Brake is one of those finely ground hybrids.

Last year we drove the Defender P400, an exquisite piece of kit which was quite thirsty. So with the D250, is this the right tool for the job?

For 50 years the Range Rover has been one of the British icons that stood for luxury and welfare. So it seemed fitting to introduce an anniversary edition. Fittingly dubbed the Range Rover Fifty.

Subaru’s swan song for the BRZ is a worthy one and I’m glad I got to experience it. Labeled ‘Final Edition’ the last BRZs are a worthy homage to a true purist car. Probably one of the last of its kind. If not the last.

CUPRA, the name alone … you want to shout it out! The name inhales power, just like the logo and now they made a hybrid version. Only a 1.4-liter with some electric help. Can you call it a real CUPRA?
