Ferrari Racing Days At Spa: The Ultimate Ferrari Event

The Ferrari Racing Days descended onto the Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps for the first in a long time. It’s a celebration of brand for both fans and owners.

Last weekend Spa turned almost completely red when the Ferrari Racing Days were hosted at Spa-Francorchamps. If you’re not familiar with what it is then let me explain.

The Ferrari Racing Days are divided into 3 main track activities with over 80 cars combined. These cars participate in the Ferrari Challenge, XX Programme and F1 Clienti. More on that later.
Other activities are the Passione Ferrari, and a paddock full of Ferrari attractions, the history of the Challenge series, a parade and the Spa debut for the 488 Pista.

Ferrari Challenge

The Ferrari Challenge is Ferrari’s in-house racing series with its own race car specifically designed for the series. Spa marked the third round of the Ferrari Challenge race series where the 488 Challenge is the weapon of choice for the drivers. By racing nearly identical cars, this series is all about skill. Making your car go faster than anyone else’s on track is essential here.

XX Programme

The XX Programme is Ferrari’s ultimate toy car test lab. Customers race the most extreme race versions of various road-going Ferrari’s. Cars from that serie are the 599XX, the 599XX Evo, the FXX Evo and FXX K. Alongside that the FXX K Evo got it’s Spa-Francorchamps debut. Ferrari’s most select clients drive these beasts around the track for fun whilst Ferrari gathers valuable data that they can apply to both their racing and road divisions.

F1 Clienti

The F1 Clienti is pretty straight forward. After an F1 car goes into retirement at the end of each season, customers can apply to buy and drive the F1 legends of the past. Cars range from the 1995 412 T2 to the latest of the V8 generation. Screaming V8, V10 and V12 F1 cars driving around the track at the same time is probably one of the most epic things to experience as both a driver and as a spectator.

Why the Ferrari Racing Days are so great

It’s not just the great sounds from the race cars that makes the Racing Days so great. It’s just a festival that celebrates the brand. Around the racetrack you can find the greatest Ferrari’s. You have the full history of Challenge cars in the paddock. The Passione Ferrari offers the chance to drive and experience the latest prancing horses on track or on the road.
