Huracán Performante laps the 'Ring in 6:52.01

Faster than a freaking Porsche 918!!!

Want exposure for an upcoming performance model? Launch news about a lap time at the Green Hell just days before the official unveiling and you'll be swarmed by it. Proof for that is Lamborghini, their Huracán Performante has lapped the 'Ring in an impressive 6:52.01. 

On 5 October 2016, the Huracán Performante set a new production car lap record of 6:52.01 min on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli

BTG often says "video proof or GTFO" and we'll happily adopt that quote from time to time. Good thing Lamborghini understood the importance of evidence for such a claim, they don't want to be ridiculed like the McLaren P1 and its 'lap record'. Lamborghini went all out with the footage though, all out. The brand even shows Marco training his ass off in a simulator, proper F1 stuff right there. It paid off, it just has some Radicals above it on the list of 'fastest production car to lap the 'Ring.'
